I can't believe first semester is almost done...with the amount of hours and stress we put in, it seems like we got on the island just the other day. Good luck to everyone on shelves...TRUST ME I WILL BE NEEDING IT!!!!! hahahahahahahah

So their is no final beside shelves? How many percent of your grade is shelves exam worth?

block one was 20%, block 2 and 3 were 30% the shelf is 20%.....

labs were respectively counted in the courses they were offered by 5% 10% and 10%...

i mean its a good thing in the sense that they are getting the students prepared for the USMLE, but bad in the sense that they are giving us such a short time to prepare for it, 2 weeks isnt enough prep time. We will see what happens.

none the less...i like the school, it is very student oriented so far. And it does do its best to accomidate students to do well on the USMLE. But as in any med school, US or Carib, you need to put the time in yourself in order to do well.

Trust me, you dont need any other final... Shelf exam is FINAL enough for all of us... Yea! it's good for us, will help us better prepare for USMLE and also see if the instructor has been teaching us the proper material or not.... BUT it is in NO WAY good for our average....
