I believe this is the same naturopath azskeptic posted about earlier. He's now been found guilty and sentenced to 13 years.
The patient in question died two weeks after getting "photoluminescense" treatments in which a small amount of the blood was removed, exposed to light, and reinjected along with hydrogen peroxide.
From the judge:
"People came in the most desperate of situations, and you took advantage of them," she said. "What price would people pay for the promise of a cure? The seriousness of this case comes not from the number of victims but from the vulnerabilities you exploited for your own gain."
I wonder how many peer-review journals have published studies on photoluminescense?

That's not possible. Just by virtue of the fact that he is an ND means he could never harm another person. There are no side effects to natural and homeopathic remedies. G

Yes. By following in the footsteps of one well-known poster on this board, we can emphatically state that naturally occurring substances cause NO HARM. This includes hydrogen peroxide. Because hydrogen peroxide is NATURAL we can inject it into your blood to cure anything and everything under the sun. (Potassium is natural too, but we'll leave the effects of hyperkalemia on the heart for another discussion)

Brian O'Connell is an unlicensed practicioner. I dont think he was licensed as a ND at all.
See http://www.naturowatch.org/legal/oconnell.shtml
As a fyi: the licensed states are listed here:

It always amuses me how if something is "natural" then it is harmless. I read a few labels from holopathic stuff- people are taking belladonna alkaloids without even knowing what the hell they are doing. Imagine a person with a heart condition takes that. Bella donna is all natural but I wouldn't give it to my kids as treats

Natural doesn't mean harmless. People need to research what they are going to take, whether an herb or medicine. Unfortunately, in this society, people are lazy and take whatever they are told to heart. Is vitamin E beneficail...absolutely, but not if you're on warfarin.
Many ailments are because someone is deficiant in a certain vitamin or mineral, but before "righting the ship" yourself...know what it is you are taking.

It also pays to retain a good attorney, especially if you do not know what you are doing.
