Hello all,

Just wanted some advice on what approach i should take into getting considered....Basically, I lack both General & Organic Chemistry.

Is it just worth it to do pre-med?

Or do a half sem of each general and organic chem here at home? (would they even consider half years....or send me back to premed anyways?) or maybe i can get into pre med 2?

thanks

you have to take chem 1 and 2 before even taking orgo 1. u can not go into Pre Med with majority of sci courses taken and exceptional grades.

So basically, "Pre-med" is for those who didnt do well in their science courses? Can someone with a low gpa get into Pre-med?

Not necessarily, someone may choose to enroll in pre-med because they may lack the pre-requisite courses but may have good-high gpa's....or you may have someone who has been out of school for a while and they may want to have a 'refresher' in these courses....

im not really sure if there is a definite cut off for grades to gain entry into the pre-med program...remember...they look at the entire application....also, they will not admit you into pre-med if they feel that you couldn't succeed....

Not sure why you want to go with the pre-med route. If I were you, I will finish the pre-requisite courses before I apply. For one thing, MUA isn't hard to get in and for another, you may want to shorten your stay in the Caribbeans because it's nothing like home.

in CB it is 10/4 what hopper said - meaning truth - do what you can on the mainland.
