California Letter query??

Hi everyone,

I read on the California Medical Board website, that it takes 6-9 months for the whole process. So for me to get the letter by the time i start applying for residency..... i wd have to apply while i am still in the last few months of medical school i.e. before graduating.

Can i apply for the California letter, without my medical degree??? And then send in the degree certificate later??
