I'm starting to see some fight in everyone, and that is an EXCELLENT thing... Here's what I think we should do.
We need to start another website- I'm not capable- and put up a list of all the states who are trying to put us in the back of the bus.
We need to post petitions and the contact info of those boards. People can print these out, gather signatures, and for the cost of a mere stamp start putting some pressure on these people. I think it is important to band together. We can use this as a spring board to contact IMGs in practice and residency. Hell, we all know eachother!
We need to stop in-fighting among the schools. We need to urge the AMGs who help to train us to join in and turn this tide. We're talking about 20 or so states here people. If just 200 of us... that's less than one school, can get a letter to every board, then we're on our way to bringing the fight. All this takes is one person who won't lay down and listen to how they aren't good enough from each school to stay 5 minutes after class... one from each clinical site to start the fire. A phone call to the Governor every hour for 6 weeks. Get your parents involved. We're not recieving equal protection under the law here people. We're passing the same boards and completing the same training, but are being denied a license. That my friends is discrimination... it's not denfisible and it isn't legal.
Will anyone please help me with this? If we don't stand together and stop this now... it's going to take a long time to pay off our loans flipping burgers or running a general clinic in east hell somewhere.
