Thread: Graduation Location.......changing???

Since some of you are meeting with the administration tomorrow, maybe somebody could find out what they may be doing with the graduation location. I received an email from the graduation coordinator and she said not to make any plans for the April 3rd graduation yet, as they "do not yet know where it is going to be held." This has been a big issue in previous years and it seems, at least when I was on the island, that there has been a big push from the student body to have the graduation ceremony in the states somewhere ie Florida or NY. On one hand I would love to come back down to the island, but unfortunately most don't feel the same way....for whatever reason (finances, too far, just don't want to be back on the island etc). I would love to see a "real" graduation ceremony in the states.....I am pretty sure more people would show up. I think that is what they are trying to find out. Those of you on the island should push for this as we all deserve an appropriate close to the end of our medical school days. I will be visiting the island anyways in April for a couple of weeks, but I would much rather graduate with the majority of my classmates in the U.S. somewhere rather than a significant minority on the island.
