January 04 -- Official Newbie Thread!

Since the torch has been passed, I thought we should start our own NEWBIE thread! Some people have already introduced themselves and have announced that they have been accepted in other threads, but it would be good to have all the info in one spot. I know this is a copy from the Sept class, but it is a good idea and we should roll with it...I'll start:

Name: Matt

Location: IA (from IL)

Age: 30

Married?: yes, to Jennifer (25) (wifeofdr2b)

Kids?: no

Pets?: yes, dog, but not coming

Last occupation: sales, but background in research...Biology major, back in the day

Approx. arrival on island: Dec. 17th

Comments: I am finally pursuing my dream and can't wait to become a doctor! I look forward to meeting everyone at AUC

List what ever information you feel comfortable with!

Good luck

If you were going to copy the sept 03 class then you should at least have the "million dollar question."
(old habits die hard.... I need to look up the word "retired")

Good luck gang!

BTW, don't buy Clinical Oriented Anatomy. Tons of copies are floating around campus and it is probably an optional book for your class too. (but as ***** said, you could always use it as a bug swatter)

books

I'm sure you can even buy many of your books (if not all) from us valueMD'ers. I know i'll be selling many of my books (if not all), and y'all can save us the time and effort in posting "ads" for books around campus if y'all are interested.

hmmm...

re:

Ok, ok...I didn't forget....but since you mentioned it: will you loan me a milion dollars?

By the way, anyone watching TLC's "Trauma in the ER" tonight? That sure was a bad multi-amputee patient. That settles it: no motorcycle for me! Also, TLC has their new "Residents" show starting tonight, its on next.

Mushie:
If all the books are the same, I will be interested in buying them off of you...just PM me w/ the deal of the century! What apartment complex did you end up going with? I like that they worked w/ you regarding the deposit and loan check. I think I will be sending the checks back to the states...it seems that is the best way to go, based on what everyone says.
