    Limitations

Do AUC grads have any limitations as far as practicing or doing a residency an any of the 50 states?

I'm from CA and would like to do most if not all my rotations in CA. What hospitals in CA do AUC students to their rotations? Can we do all our rotations in one hospital in CA, if yes which ones? Thanks.

    Ca is not a problem

I know we have several clinical sites there. I thought it was just Kern (Bakersfield?), but at the clinical fair last week, I saw tables set up from at least 5 different sites in Cali. I know Kern is a total site, meaning you can do all of your stuff there, but there are limited spots. I am sure Cali residents would get a chance, but it all depends on Step I dates now.

If I had time to actually talk to the clinical people I coulda got more info, but for some reason they seemed more interested in partying in Sint Maarten than actually doing their jobs and informing the students of anything related to their hospitals.

Oh well. I have zero desire to go to Cali, so I didn't pay much attention to them, sorry.

AFAIK, Kern requires students to have at least a 215 in step 1 for doing Core there. There's another hospital in Pomona that takes a small number of AUC students for Core. And as you know we have psych core in Norwalk, and some sites for individual core subjects (E.g. Alameda County). AUC is a bit lacking in offering full-core sites in California, but I think the school is aware of this problem as there are a lot of students coming from California (like me ) or want to practice there.

Anyone with more updated information please post!
