Thread: Flamboyant Residence anyone?

Hello everyone. I was just wondering if anyone is going to be living in this residence, it's the new building just behind the school and the big white house. If so, do you know what it includes, dishes, linens, etc? Has the furniture arrived yet? The list I was given was taken from my backpack when our car was broken into in July when we visited. By the way, somebody found it and brought it to the school a week ago, missing a few items of course. So if anyone out there found it and returned it, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. I was able to retrieve my glasses, but not my camera, oh well. See you all in a few weeks.

I have doubts about it's completion before the semester starting! Just in case, what are your backups if it's not done in time?

They said if its not done,they would put us up in a hotel (boy that sucks!) But the lady said she cant see it not being finished.. Iknow it includes dishes.

It certainly looks very nearly done. They put in the furniture and appliances last week, so I imagine that they should be ready anyday now. I have been meaning to walk over there and peek in while the doors are unlocked but haven't made it yet. I also imagine that dishes (enough for two people), two pillows, and a comforter will be provided. Bring (or buy) queen sized sheets and pillow cases and a duvet and bedskirt (if you are into matching linens).

Seriously, who thought of the name Flamboyant?

Probably the same people that actually travel with a duvet and bedskirt

I know, Flamboyant, they could have thought of any other name, what were they thinking? HEHE. I feel much better knowing that the appliances and furniture is there. Does anyone know if we have to pay for internet and cable hook ups? Thanks, ds in tx; by the way let me know if you peek in and see the apartments. See you guys soon (22 days and counting).

i will be stayin there as well, not to sure about specifics, but i did ask why they named it "FLAMBOYANT"... i dont know if this answer was ** or not, but i guess the trees on the street leading into parking lot are "Flamboyant" (now im not sure if thats a type or if they are really "gay"... haha)...

as for the hook ups... i think the building will be ready to go... atleast i know the internet will be caribserv, not really sure about cable hookups since i dont really plan on doing that

i have to pay first & last months rent before i leave the island in 10 days so i will see if they will let me take a peak inside... what im curious about is since i will be flying back to the island at 10pm (most likely delayed till 11pm) whether or not i will be able to get into my apartment or if im gonna be crashing at a friends place???

Any news on Flamboyant? Did anyone take a peek inside the rooms? I'll be staying in #XX. I contacted Rozanna and she said I could move in on the 23rd, next Tuesday....we'll see... Will anyone else be there by then?
