If you come down a week before classes start, I think thats plenty of time to secure an apartment. You can essentially spend a day going around viewing apartments.

There are a few apartment management offices located near the school. There is one also in Simpson Bay which I believe has a website, and that is Jennifers Vacation Villas. They do help students find apartments.

There is a Canadian doctor who owns several condos within 3 mins walk to the school, and she rents them out to students. She's very nice, and her apartments are quite nice too. She isnt outrageous in her rent, about $600-$850/mo. I know one of her places is a loft, and she has 1 bdrms. Her name is Jane Pedlow. I think if you search the forum you'll find her email address because I dont have it handy. A bonus with her apartments is that she only asks for 1 months deposit, and she is very understanding about the issue of student loan checks, etc.

The apartment complexes (which are really individually owned condos) located within a couple of minutes walk to the school are:

The Tradewinds, Arbor Estates, Cupecoy Beach Club (a bit more pricey), Cote d'Azur Residence, Cote d'Azur Marina, Blue Azur (ask around about this place) and Parc Lagon.

The rent for a 1 bdrm in Cote d'Azur Residence tends to be around 850/mo.

Other popular areas for students and families are Pelican Key, Beacon Hill and Simpson Bay. You will need a car, and the drive time is around 10 mins or so from the school.
