Ho-hummm
These same allegations have been bandied about for years -- they're raised, they're refuted, they're raised again. Hmmm, maybe we should again raise the story about the guy who wakes up in a bathtub full of ice only to find that his kidney has been stolen -- someone is bound to believe it ("but I know someone it really happened to"). Remember folks, there are lots of hot-heads out there, many of whom got the boot because they couldn't cut it, or were caught cheating or dealing drugs or doing other things that marked them as an undesireable. Rather than face up to their own responsibilities and failings, they chose to "get even." That's why they post anonymously. Fact is, I was a low-average student. I CHOSE to go to England, but I TURNED DOWN core placement offers in the US to go. I passed the USMLE I on my first attempt, with a respectable score. I slam-dunked the Part II (which I took upon return from England). I finished up my electives in the US and had my pick of residencies. I am not unusual. Don't listen to the anonymous posters -- they can say they'll be the "victim of revenge" all they want. Personally, I don't believe it -- I think they're afraid that if they post under their real names the whole story of why they're so bitter will come out, to their great embarassment and complete loss of credibility. Go or don't go to AUC -- you're choice, jsut don't let un-named spammers make your decision for you.
