Thread: Puerto Rico (SJU)

To get to St. Maarten... im thinking of taking JetBlue from JFK to SJU.. then whatever airline from SJU to SXM..... is it difficult navigating your way throught he puerto rico and st. maarten airports? Just wondering cuz airports give me such a headache... especially JFK and Newark...

pr isn't that bad. it's pretty straight forward. st. maarten airport... hmm... it shouldn't really count as an airport. hahaha. you'll see when you get here. it's only one "terminal"

when I came down first semester, I took Jetblue from JFK to San Juan. I then took Caribbean Sun from SJU to SXM.
It was a little bit of a pain in the **** due to having all that luggage...collecting it at baggage claim, then lugging it to check into Caribbean Sun.
It's not too bad...just make sure you have PLENTY of time between the two flights!!! If you don't...you'll be screwed.

For the next three flights I'm going to be flying first class.. hahahaha

first class...just one of the perks of flying with one airline when going to school at AUC. Build up the frequent flyer miles...and your status goes up up up...and you can get free upgrades.
Just something to think about...

Actually US airways is running a promotion and Continental has some great prices as well.

If you fly first class does your luggage come out in a different place? Or is it in the same belt has the econ class?

The reason i ask is that getting ur luggage at the airport at SXM is an adventure that could last over an hour. If your lucky you will get everything you came with in once piece if not, then ...heh welcome to SXM.

I've never flown first class, im already in enough debt as it is...
