Thread: MCAT vs. USMLE

Hey for those of you who already passed USMLE....was it comparable to your MCAT score? Some people say that MCAT is a good indication of what your USMLE will look like (Drexel told me this when we had the interview..)

I did really bad in verbal...i don't know if that will mean anything towards taking USMLE....

I'm sure this depends on each individual.

My husband didn't do so hot on the MCAT and beat the U.S. average on Step 1. According to his experience, I don't see any correlation.

Statisitically, it is. However, as in all statistics, there are people who fall outside of the statistical prediction. Do a search here, and do a google search. There is a correlation between MCAT score and USMLE score. G
