Thread: Bike/Car

I'm contemplating bringing a bike down with me in May, would this be a hassle? Can I buy a nice moderately priced bike on the island?
Also, if I rent a car for a week or so while I have visitors, can I park it on the campus for free? What's a good rental car company to do business with?

Dunno about bikes.

But yes, you can park on campus for free, no hassles. A good car rental place is Best Deal Car Rentals located right next to the airport. I rent from them regularly and they have well serviced cars and generally good customer service.

you can buy a bike on the island at the sports shop. they sell all kinds of bikes new or used. very nice.

If you are going to want to ride a bike here on the island make sure you bring a good helmet with you. You can PM kennetharthur from one of the other posts and ask him about that. The only place to ride a bike here on the island is on the busy roads. There are NO trails of any sort. People do ride bikes down here, I see them on the roads every day. I've also seen them get hit/knocked down by cars too. Just make sure you bring a helmet if you are going to ride a bike...remember, the hospitals down here just aren't that great.
