I'm an aging doctor wanna be and I'd like to get started on my education rather than waiting to take the MCAT and then having to wait longer to be accepted to medical schools. I'm wondering if there is anyway to get around taking the MCAT.
Thanks

510 points sorry, you need the MCAT to apply. There are other schools such as St. Matthew's that do not require the MCAT.

Just say you took it...they will never know...honestly.
Yes there is, if you find the cure to AIDS or Cancer.

just because you are going to an unapproved english program in bulgaria that doesnt require mcats doesnt mean you have credibility to comment about auc's requirements.Originally Posted by pitstar

why is this pitstar dude still allowed on the forum, all he/she does is bash carib schools. If this individual has nothing of positive value to share and is here simply to antagonize us, why not remove him/her as a user. Also, if you are IMG student also, remember, you have no right to act high and mighty.

By the way, I dont thinke even curing cancer, walking on water, etc could get you into AUC without an MCAT. MEAS doesnt like to stray from the rules, but if you insist on trying, send them some gold spray paint, it may help

I'd say no chance, unless you have a phd or something. You should just take it. You don't need to do stellar on it and it will help you for step 1. You don't want step 1 to be the first board type exam you take. Get the kaplan book or course, run through it, and do practice Q's. It''ll be the same protocol when you take step1, 2, and 3. Good luck.
No, they will. The admissions committee screens for these minimum requirements, whether you think they are important or not.Originally Posted by pitstar
To the OP...the MCAT is now required for AUC. If you don't want to waste any more time as an aging MD to be, then I would urge you to look at other options.
