Book buying question
Hey there
I have a quick question on book buying. When yall buy your books, do you buy just the first semester books? Or do you buy like the first and second semester books? I noticed only ten day break between the May semester and the subsequent, so is it easier just to buy sem 1 and 2 books at once? |

If you don't mind highlighted books you can buy used for 2nd plus you may not want some of them, or they could change the book list. I wouldn't buy in advance. You can always order from Note Services. It's may 5% more then B&N but you don't pay tax or shipping and the books get delivered to you. Good luck!!!

also dont be too quick to buy the optional books. they are all available at the library and you probably wont have enough time to read them anyways. heck..... it took me 3 semesters to figure out that i dont even use most of the required book. some of the books that are "required" are overkill. i finally trimmed my book total to $144.
and to all you incoming 3rd semesters...... DO NOT BY HARRISONS. they claim its required but none of the classes use it. i know you are gonna eventually all have to get it....... but wait till you are back home in the states and in clinicals where it will be useful. i made the mistake of buying it and its still in the plastic. so instead of offsetting the cost till later and buying it at barnes and noble at home...... i gotta lug this 20 lbs book on the plane as dead weight.

I usually wait a week or so into the class before I decide to buy a book or not. It can always be shipped to the Mailbox from Amazon and doesn't cost more than 2 or 3 dollars for a book in shipping from Miami. I've saved a TON of money by doing this. Even I have some books now that I am totally annoyed that I wasted my money on...and that's after following my method. Don't be too ahead of yourself to buy books. They change once in a while.
For coming down here for first semester you need two books. The biochem book and Netter's...that's it. All the anatomy written info will be in the benchmarks you'll get from note service.
