Hey, I am going to be applying for the May '04 class, I am re-taking my MCAT in Aug. and still have a few more pre-req classes to cover. Having to take it slow as paying for Uni. myself sucks. So my question is, should I go ahead and apply after I retake the MCAT in Aug. I have a physics and an organic chem left to take as pre-req's. Otherwise my GPA is great, and I have nada else to do. I also have the 3 years as a paramedic to help balance me out.

What do you think oh mighty ones?

I'm not a mighty one(at least not yet, "MICROPHAGE ALMIGHTY-Rated PG-13") but these are the reponses you'll probably get:

1) If your grades are great, then just focus on your MCAT and do well. Apply to US schools before you head down to the Caribbean

2) Apply to the schools now and submit your MCAT when you get the scores. Get the ball rolling so you won't have to scramble around getting your materials sent in time. The admissions department/Postal service/transcript office is almost guranteed to lose something.

3) May semester is the least competitive semester, don't worry about it too much.

In the end, almost every question has already been answer about ten times and you get the same responses each time. I think someone should write a script which will answer questions with the generic answers.(Apply to schools and find out, GPA/MCAT are only part of the application, and yada yada yada). Good luck and don't worry about it, you'll get in
