please no more stripper jokes.

Hello guys. I would like to say that we would be more sensible with Stripper jokes about platinum in this Forum. Going to strip club is somebody's very private life thing and is not something that you constantly talk about in med school forum. I do not wish to say whether it is ethically wrong or not to go to stipper's den. That is not my business but whoever the guys business that goes to there.

Personally, I would refuse to go to a a college ethic class and listen to his words if it was taught by a professor who is regular to strip club and to a church where the priest goes to strip club.

Strip clubs are under the city goverment's zone ordinance code and is strictly regulated as they are not allowed near to the main public schools or to the residential area in the States. The reason? Indecency, which is not a virtue.

Lets keep this forum straight and more informative. Remember, your posting can have a lifetime impact on some future prospective students who is checking out AUC forum.

Seriously, it was almost accident that I had stumbled upon AUC forum nearly 2 years ago and I did not know anything or ever heard of AUC until this Forum! and am so glad and grateful for those who were here posting effective infor. one of them were ***** and DR Dust as well as DR Faith.

Also your posting often can be seen as a collective representation of the entire student pool at AUC. For collective good of all here and the coming ones in the future as well as the our alumni, Be more sensible and keep very private life away from this public forum.

A little uptight?

Hope he doesn't read the "goat" jokes on the Saba and MUA forums, or he will really be aghast!

Lighten up!

Why does it mean one is a tightbutt just because they don't want to read about strippers in almost every single thread? If the threads are about life on the island, how med students spend their leisure time, etc, that's one thing. But being told to ignore the posts (as is common to those who complain) is not terribly helpful since these posts litter threads on every sort of topic. I am personally not morally opposed to strippers, but am totally put off by the constant talk of them here. There is a time and place for such conversations and IMHO this forum isn't the place. Would it be such a hardship to keep such posts to the relaxing lounge forum or IM?

I find it so strange that some of you can't see how such posts might offend people at worst, and make you look unprofessional and juvenile at best. And that you continually respond rudely to those who ask you to ease up just makes people less comfortable in this forum.

Then there are the posts saying "Well we do you a favour answering your questions so you should be grateful we're here!" Actually, few questions get more than a sarcastic response telling people to use the search engine, and then degenerate into jokes about the PR. And somehow, people manage to answer questions on other school's fora without being offensive.

This is getting out of hand. First of all, there has hardly been a "polite" request to cease and desist.

Second of all, the PR has only been a source of almost bottomless conversation recently when a few of our members decided to madly post to increase their post count.

Third of all, I am absolutely sick of the one always being called on the spot or attacked with either discussions about the PR or being blamed for the increase usage of the PR on the forums. Due to a long running inside joke started by my predecessors on this forum, it is not a garment I can easily cast off. I believe I've been taking it in good humor for some time, especially since the above mentioned spam-athon, but now I am beginning to get pissed. Why don't you guys examine how many threads I actually started about the PR, or who's actually talking about it and bringing my name into it?! Don't just wildly point around and say, "SOE stop talking about the PR."

Fourth of all avocado, I have no idea who you are. Take a look at the posts asking questions, 99% of the time you'll see one of the regulars being the FIRST to answer the question SERIOUSLY and THOUGHTFULLY. Go ahead avocado, go through several pages and look. Do you want me to post my PM log as well of questions I have to answer? Even the people doing the bantering are not idiotic enough to immediately degenerate into banter, most understand the rule that the question must be answered first. And you'll notice how often people add in their thoughts before doing any form of bantering.

I don't know why you're addressing your post to me, since I never mentioned you or anyone else by name. My thoughts weren't directed at you.

What does that have to do with anything? Do I have to be "known" to express my opinion that stripper talk isn't appropriate on a forum for med school information? I assume the audience of this site is, in large part, people in my same situation, so I figured my POV had some merit. (Despite my measly post count, of course. )

I've posted elsewhere that I'm a prospective student, and I'm trying to learn all I can about AUC. Sorry, but as a grown woman trying to work out some major future plans, I got tired of coming across posts about "boobies".
