    Switching over to Sallie mae

I'm very annoyed with the entire medachiever situation, but I am glad we have alternatives.

Does anyone know what the exact aggregate limit for sallie mae is? on there website it states 220k total for MEDLOANS, but we don't use that loan, we use the signature student loan I believe.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Also, is there a way around the limit? (Cosigner). Don't worry, I'm not near there yet, and hopefully won't have to worry about this, but I'm a worst case/ best case scenario person.

    ....

anyone ever tried to switch from sallie mae to nellie mae?? any problems doing this?? it seems to me that if you dont want to have a cosigner, this is the way to go.

    any info would be great.

    credit is in the dumpter!!

    Hello again,
unfortunately, my credit will not be viewed in the best light by any private loan company. I am wondering how I will go about paying for AUC? Supposedly i was told to go federal one semester and then private the next semester, just switching between them. If worst comes to worst, my dad does have good credit....but I would hate to ask him for a co-sign. Advice anyone???

    Can't do it

At AUC you will need both fed and pvt loans every semester. You can spend a few months trying to clean up your credit, which I highly recommend. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you are armed with knowledge. Check out www.creditboards.com, a forum like this where people post FREE info on how to do this. Just take your time and read, read, read, read, read and then read some more before you do ANYTHING. You can seriously hurt yourself in the longrun if you jump into things too quickly. You must really know what it is you are doing, but it is most DEFINATELY possible!
