why aren't AUC/SGU going for Texas?
why aren't AUC/SGU going for Texas?
because they don't have to yet. according to the texas board the only reason Ross was granted a site visit was because they had a complete shutdown of their graduates eligibility for Texas licensure. AUC and SGU were not disapproved and are still eligible for licensure on an individual basis same as before. the only reason texas requires individual consideartion is because of the separation of basic and clinical sciences. according to the texas board the only extra info we need is an extra form to fill out. check out stephs discussion with the texas board http://www.valuemd.com/ftopic27909.html it relates to sgu but i would infer that since both schools have grads there with a similar basic science/clinical set up that would also apply to AUC. as you can see in 05 is the earliest AUC or SGU can apply unlike ross which was a special case since graduates were barred and unable to be considered in an individual basis.

TX, a whole other country
If nothing has changed, then you shouldn't have any probs getting licensed in TX. I know a lot of people licensed in TX. None have complained about excessive hoops. You do need to make sure to fulfill all of their requirements. I think they like you to have a neuro rotation etc. G
