Thread: Help future students not be hurt by Marshall Motors

A lot of people have been taken advantage of recently by Marshall Motors and have lost a lot of money. In the interest of not having this experience happen to any more of my fellow/future students I have officially got the ball rolling with the school to stop recommending student leases from Marshall Motors, to take all of their signs down at the school, and to have the housing office issue a warning to students about their questionable business practices. I submitted a complaint letter to the housing office about my experience. What I need all of you to do, is anyone that has had any sort of issue with a lease from Marshall Motors, no matter how miniscule, please submit a letter to the housing office, SGA, or to me regarding how you feel you have been mistreated and request that they be removed from the school. I have already spoken with SGA and, after next weeks meeting, they will be making announcements to all the classes about getting people to write these letters. I hope all of you will take the initiative and strike back for all of us and send a message that this sort of thing will NOT be tolerated. We owe it to ourselves, friends and collegues to make sure this never happens again.

Just wanted to thank all of you that wrote letters to the school. I have heard from numerous sources that Marshall Motors will no longer be able to advertise in the school newsletter, the signs will be taken down, and that future incoming students will be warned about their questionable business practices. Hey, win one for us finally, huh guys. Also, thank you to John and the SGA for helping me make a really big issue out of this and doing something for the greater good of the school. *big high 5 to everyone*

p.s. I have done some estimations, and if 50 people drop their leases at 300 per month, they have lost $15,000 per month and $180,000 per year by screwing us all over. What a bunch of morons.

nope............they still advertise in the protected glass enclosed bulletin board outside the library

Well, I've tried to get the advertisement by lecture hall 4 removed, but Chet Johnson got really upset when he was asked to take it down. He actually yelled at the girl that asked him so loud I could hear it on the other side of the rotunda.

So I have to ask the question, who's interest is he and the AUC housing office really looking out for? Boy is that scary!
