Yeah, don't hold your breath about that happening too quickly!

Do you guys know whether or not the other Caribbean school's requirements are as strict as AUC's regarding U.S. clinical site accreditation? AUC always uses that as an excuse for why we don't have more U.S. sites and I'm wondering if it holds any water.

its not AUC...

Its about Licensure, not AUC. You should read the requirements of a few different State's Licensure Policies. I think in that respect, AUC is helping. Specifically, read the sections on licensure for foreign medical students. If you dont do your rotations in accredited placements, you might lose your chance to get licensed in some States.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that AUC has strict guidelines for choosing sites so we can get licensed throughout the U.S., but I wonder why other Caribbean schools have WAY more U.S. clinical sites. Could it be that other Caribbean schools don't have as strict of guidelines?
