phone interview??

Hey peoples.

I received an email from MEIO. Here is part of it.

"As promised here I am to let you know the Committee's decision. Today I sent you an offical letter. You will get a phone interview with Dr. **** Lessem, Dean of Students."

Anyway; it sounds like the letter means I am in?? Anyone ever done a phone interview?? What type of person is Dr. Lessem?
I am suppose to call him or email him. Since it's the weekend I have a couple of days to prepare. Thanks for any advice.

JD

It sounds like they are sending you an official letter regarding the phone interview you have, not that you are in. Phone interviews are happening more often and several people have posted their experiences on here. I know the search feature doesn't work that well but it's worth a try to see what you can find since there is info out there. Good luck!

I had a phone interveiw... it really isn't anything to worry about. I called Dr Lessom and left a message and he returned my call and we set up an interview time and date. On that date, I called him and we had a discussion for about 30 minutes. he asked questions like... Why medicine? and wanted me to explain some questions regarding my application. He asked if I had questions, which I did, and we discussed them. The next day, I sent him an email thanking him for the opportunity to interiew, and within a week, I recieved notice that I was accepted.

No big deal. I think it goes to say, though, if you get an interview, it is your spot to loose. However, I think there was a post here somewhere about a guy who wasn't accepted after an interview.

Relax, and give it your best shot...

It's AUC's new cost cutting measures. Give less, take more.

Phone Interview

I never received a phone nterview even they just sent me an email letting me know I was in and an orientation guide by email. I thought it was kind of strange although I was happy to get in I'm still deciding between Ross and AUC. I did have an interview in L.A. with Ross and they seem a lot more on top of getting back to me with my questions.

Dr. Lessom

is the lead psychiatrist at Providence Hospital. He heads the psych rotation and is on AUC staff. Just to give you a visual, he is about 5'6" tall, medium build and has the long gray hair and beard with little rimed glasses that are stereotypical of psychiatrists.
