More like comparing a pizza hut to a brothel
Only if the pizza hut just opened and employees of this pizza joint had no idea whether or not the place would be around, or if their paycheck would bounce vs a brothel with a great placement of their ho's as high paid physicians

It must have been nice to relieve some stress after an exam by going downstairs to be "examined" by the high priced "physicians".

Yeah, but don't you get the buffet option when you goto both?
That's it...I'm transferring to St. Chris!

Aloha,

Please! that line may work with some people, but don't feed me that bologna.

Look at this: http://www.aucmed.edu/01_auc.php

Look at how fancy all the architecture is on campus! Gold trim, fancy tiling, etc. The campus was built in 1998, if there were any real intentions of going back to monserrat, they would have built a campus that was just functionally adequate, not some multi million dollar fancy design campus that they would have had no chance of selling when it came time to go back to monserrat. That shows they really never had any intentions of going back. They may have fed the students those excuses, but it is a bunch of **.

They didn't get a charter until 2001, so yes, that is a long time.

charter

AUC is chartered in the country that the school is located. I am sure that they were able to accomplish this much sooner than St Chris will be chartered in the country that their school is located-probably never. Will this be a problem in the future for licensing-who knows.

You can believe what you want, BTS. There may or may not be anything shady. I don't care to argue that point, because I don't have any inside infor regarding AUC, or at least not as much as SC students seem to have. I do know that AUC did things through the proper channels, rather than try to slide things on through and hoping nobody will raise an eyebrow. I have nothing against SC, as many people seem to. On the contrary, I want to see everyone do well. There is little competition among docs, and having more will certainly not affect my job. I do know what the rules are, and I know there can be issues with location compared to country of charter. There is a big difference between a school leaving an island because of a natural disaster to go to another caribbean island, and a school chartered in Senegal having their campus in England. AUC didn't go to Miami.
