My apologies, everyone - particularly to Bubbles. I have been wound too tightly this last week. Back home I could head up into the mountains, head for the rivers, walk the fence lines out at the farm, or spend a day at the target range. I haven't found a good way to wind down here yet, and, according to my wife, I can be a bit of a bear when I'm sleep-deprived. Maybe I'll see what kinds of rates I can get to rent a horse for the day after blocks are over next week... go check out Pic Paradis, if they'll trust me to ride up there.

I often wonder why it's only in America that immigrants feel entitled to free goods/service.

Thanks, I know it can be stressful out here and some things can be too, but just hang in there b/c your 20 months will fly by.

My MUCH bigger complaint is the dude who actually comes to campus. He has started rudely asking people to wait in line to see if they have a package instead of just going up to the table and looking at the sheet when he isn't. He's gotten mad at me and other people and today I finally confronted him about it. I said "Man, can't you just bring two copies of that sheet?" and he was like "NO! We can't do that. You wait at doctor's office, you wait at grocery store, you wait here". I replied again, "Yeah, but can't you just make a photocopy of that and bring it? You know how long the line would be if everyone who had a mailbox was in line here?!" Again, "No, we're not making a copy!"
... can anyone on god's green earth explain to me why he can't just bring another copy so we can see if we have mail or not instead of waiting in the line that consumes the rotunda?
I'll just call the main office from now on and see if I have something the days he is here, I guess....

It would be so easy for Mailbox to print out a list of students with mail & give it to notes service for posting.

The [lack of] customer service is one reason why I no longer use Mailbox. They are arrogant and rude - and extremely overpriced.

4Star cargo emails you when your package arrives in Miami, tells you exactly how much your price is going to be, when the plane is scheduled to land in SXM - and then Safe Cargo in SXM emails you when your package is ready to be picked up.

Mailbox, on the other hand, uses 4star and then tacks on a fee. They also are very anal about letting you know when your package has arrived.

Surprised no one has wrote on here today. But I went to the mailbox today and got a package didnt double check it but it wasnt mine. Just curious if anyone got the wrong package as well. Maybe we can fix this w/o going to the mailbox. First name on my package would be Raymond. The one I got is for a michael. Let me know.

Thanks,
Dan

Maybe we should set up a package exchange program; we could call it Yankee Swap or White Elephant.

How did you back out of your mailbox account? Did you get a refund? I paid up front 119.00 for the year and am starting to regret it. I say we all just keep going up and checking the sheet. If he gets angry, so be it. Until those lazy ***** get their stuph together, we'll do what we gotta do. You think we have time to stand around and twiddle our thumbs? EFF NO! WE GOTTA STUDY
