I submitted my application for the Fall 2010 semester back in December, and recently my status showed that my recommendation letters had finally been received. While this would normally be relieving, my academic letter came from a professor who I had for a course last fall, as well as for the current semester. The problem is... he and I have had a bit of a falling out over a writing assignment last week. I had assumed it was no big deal, but after approaching him in his office hours to thank him for Ross' receipt of my letter, he quite literally growled at me and was visually angered. Now I am terrified that AUC will contact him regarding my letter (which should be positive, given when it was sent) and he will sink my ship. Does anyone know how often AUC contacts letter writers? Have you heard from your letter writers saying that they were contacted? Should I be worried, or drafting some sort of statement to explain what happened? Thanks very much for any information you guys can give, I'm kind of freaking out.
