Not bad...
I've been trying to find a list, I wonder where this one came from. I wasn't aware that anyone was actually compiling one. I spoke to some of the faculty and they all said they had no clue. Oh well, I am glad to see it, finally.
Lots of the Caribbean medical schools are getting some really good match results, and I think it is a great thing. Anytime anyone from down south ends up at a good program and does well, it looks better for all of us. Good job, everyone!

It's the AUC Mafia, *****. Actually I got the list from Cynthia Holden. She kindly sends such data from time to time. G

You Nikon Freak! Just kidding
Haha.
Jon, are you sure you don't wanna change your nickname to "NikonAddict"? I heard pathology still isn't very competitive(something like 57 percent goto all IMGs). I think I got that number from the Freida(sp?) website. http://www.ama-assn.org/vapp/freida/...54,300,00.html

Pathology
I only met one guy who wanted to be a pathologist. I don't think it is one of those fields that really attracts people. It seems that most people want excitement, like ER or surgery. At least they think it is exciting. Probably too much TV. Maybe if they brought Quincy back pathology may become the "in" specialty. Be glad there aren't many people who try for pathology, that makes it easier for you. G

Yay!
Don't know if I'll still want to pursue pathology when I get out...although most of the pathologists (and surgeons) I work with think it's a waste of I don't since I've got a bunch of experience already. The way I see it, the foundation I already have in path will do nothing to harm any other specialty pursuits. I especially enjoy the lifestyle aspect...you can work as much or as little as you want.
Microphage, I think the name change to anencephalic is more appropriate, since sometimes I wonder if I have a brain.... Dr. Durst, Thanks for the match compilation! Aloha,

KNowledge of path
Is important in every specialty. Also, you can pretty much find a situtation that will suit your lifestyle in any field. I don't think you should feel confined to path simply becasue you have the background. If you want to do it, then great, that is what you should do. If you think you may want to do something else, than pursue that. Your pathology background will be a tremendous benefit. G
