    AUC scholarships

I'm pretty sure AUC offers some sort of academic scholarship.

Does anyone know what kind of stats you need for it?

    how much money is offered?

If you have a certain GPA and/or MCAT you get 6k off your first semester' tuition. No idea what the numbers are... At best we can speculate. If you've been admitted they will let you know, most likely if you are eligible. There is no application for it.

That's the only scholarship-like thing available at AUC, I'm pretty sure.

They used to have two kinds: a full scholarship for four years, provided you keep a 90+ average in all subjects, and the one-time $6,000 off 1st semester tuition. There's no special application, but you need to have sent in your deposit to be considered (or so I was told). I'd guess that a 30+ MCAT and a 3.5+ GPA would make you competitive. However, do ask your application counselor about it and mention that you are interested. Best of luck!

I think it's 50% off tuition, not 100, but I may be wrong. I know 2 people that got it, none that kept it long. Seems like it shoul dbe possible to keep an A average, but it would take a lot of skill and a whole lot more work.

    I don't think they're offering that A-average one anymore...

I know that there is a 50% off scholarship for the first semester. But, as far as I know it doesn't extend beyond that. I think there are also some smaller scholarships, but I'm not sure about the specifics. Regardless, the scholarships aren't much compared to the amount of debt waiting for us when we finish.

90% average? Ya, that sounds pretty tough to hold on to.

    From the AUC Website:

    Scholarships

The AUC Merit Scholarship is a one-time, partial tuition credit offered to a limited number of incoming first-semester basic science students. The scholarship is awarded to qualified first semester Basic Medical Sciences students. To be considered for the Merit Scholarship, an incoming student must have demonstrated outstanding undergraduate academic achievement. Recipients will be notified prior to matriculation and must accept the award within fourteen days after the scholarship is offered.

I know someone who earned the 1st semester merit scholarship, which was $5000. They got a 30 on the MCAT and had an overall GPA of 3.4 if that helps. Not sure how many people get the scholarship.

Just enough to raise that average MCAT score statistic to the level they want it to be. It is the same way with undergraduate universities in the US & SAT scores.
