The internet on campus has been extremely slow and spotty recently. I'm not one to complain, but earlier this semester it seemed to be working great. I'm wondering if anyone knows what is causing it, or if this is a temporary problem. just curious.

Just spitballing here, but I would venture that the recent slowness is due to the fact that this is block week and thus more students are on campus sharing the same connection=slower internet. It happens every block week. Try the internet next monday or tuesday afternoon, it should be pretty decent.

It worked fine b4 the 180+ 1st semesters got here

This week makes sense with the amount of people, but it's been slow for the past few weeks. And it's often slow early in the morning when not a lot of people are on campus. It'll be nice to be back in the states where I can take things like the internet and power for granted...

Indeed, it is!
I think that I experienced more power outages during my 20 months in SXM than I have in entire rest of my life. And I don't remember anything like SXM internet since the early days of compu-serve and 56k dial up.
