I have a 3.8 GPA and 22L on the MCAT but would like to to know if i have a chance on getting in if i have a juvenile conviction. Did anyone have a similar experience or know what the chances are?

I think an assault conviction shows passion and enthusiasm.

I don't think juvenile convictions are even on your record. From what I understand juvenile records are expunged after you turn 18, your GPA is fine, but your MCAT score might be low, not sure tho.
510 points Assault is not something that is good on your application if you wanna be a doctor. That would not be a fun interview either with Dr. L (psychiatrist) on why you beat the heck outta someone.
aucmed.edu, medical school application:
" Yes No Have you ever been convicted of, or charged with, a felony or misdemeanor, with the exception of parking violations?"
Still have to list it, even if you were a juvenile or it has been expunged...come on fellas you aren't applying to be a cashier at Wal-Mart.
510 points 3.8 GPA in what major?
517 points But if there is no proof, you can always fib. AUC doesn't really check to see if you really told the truth on apps anyways![]()

thats a great philosophy!!!
just like when you apply for licensure in a certain state and they do background checks on you, find a conviction, and then find out you lied on your medical school application------but to he** with it! I'm sure they wont check either!
and to boot- AUC profs that are on the admissions committee read VMD, so good job on selling the OP out...lol
517 points It's ok, those profs are just a figment of our imagination.
