So, I am rotating with an AUC student who has Surgery and Peds scheduled at flushing hospital. I myself have peds scheduled there (hopefully). Today he tells me he received an e-mail from infamous cores coordinator from MEAS saying his surgery is cancelled because SGU paid a crap load of money to Flushing and bought it out. Now, nothing was mentioned about peds. Anyone there heard anything? This reminds me of that ugly Wyckoff situation last spring. And we all know how that turned out. I sure would hate to get screwed with peds rotation especially now that freaking Match process starts tomorrow.

haven't heard anything about it from the SGU side.....and they're notorious for promoting that kind of stuff I hope it doesn't affect you in the near future

well that's start date of my last core... if this only affects surgery, I'm fine. If it's everything, I'm royally screwed. I'll be calling NC and EK tomorrow. I'll post anything they pass on (won't hold my breath)

There has to be some sort of contract in place preventing this from happening. Everyone thought we were going to lose all those sites to Ross a while back, until the Mr. T actually fought for AUC and got them back.
