I do know that the school is always improving itself (basic sciences) and like what was mentioned earlier, AUC is apparently in talks with hospitals to get more contracts, contracts that are going to be for all cores just like Providence and Nassau.

So today, NC at MEAS was unreachable (no surprise). I contacted CJ from FHMC. It sounds like as of now, AUC has only lost surgery spots. I am not sure if it's a permanent loss for AUC, or just a loss of a certain block of time. It was not explicitly explained to me, but apparently SGU can buy blocks of certain rotations. I guess they choose that December block(12/7/10-1/15/10). Since AUC is sending all of our money to CO, they put up no fight to try to keep those spots (it would affect the bottom line of a for-profit school). I am hoping this is just for surgery, but if anyone from different rotations (or different rotation dates) got a similar email, please post. Also, if anyone was able to contact MEAS or NC and get some better info, hook a brother up. I think most people scheduled for Caritas ended up @ Flushing when Caritas closed. If we lose Flushing, clinicals are going to be even more of a nightmare.

You should read the HHC contract closer with SGU, it actually states that we haven't secured all those spots, it just states that if those hospitals not already accepting FMG students for clinicals ever decide to accept them in the future, that SGU is the first and only school they will take. A lot of those hospitals aren't available to us as regular rotations. Flushing is a main hospital for us and I wouldn't be surprised if SGU makes a move on it, sorry to say for your school but, like I told BiologyBY before, I haven't heard anything about it on the SGU end, if I do, I'll post something.
