    Question Netters, which edition??

I'm planning on buying the Netter - Atlas of Human Anatomy. There are two different kinds of 4th editions. One edition is softcover with access to Netteranatomy.com. The other is hardcover Professional edition that's more expensive but doesn't say if it has access to Netteranatomy.com.

My questions is which edition should I get? It's Netteranatomy.com worth it or required? Or should I get the hardcover because it'll last longer.

    Softcover - 9781416033851

    Hardcover - 9781416036999

The online site is not required, although it could potentially be helpful. So far, I've found Netter's flash card and Netter's Clinical to be sufficient. It comes down to personal choice. Usually, one person per anatomy group brings their copy into lab, so long as you don't mind getting random tissue/fluids on it. Personally, I have the softback 4th edition, which is still in my room in the shrink wrap.

There are copies in the library if you find you want to wait before purchasing. The variation in editions is pretty minimal, so you wouldn't be behind even if you got a previous edition.

Good to know. Was it written on parchment or papyrus back then?

If you want to get Netter's don't spend big money on it. A soft cover of any edition 2nd through 4th will do. Anatomy does not change, so don't even think that you have to get a 4th ed. Wait and buy one here at the beginning of the semester student sale.

The online site could be helpful, but your time is better spent in the Netter Atlas any edition, Moore or Netter Clinical Anatomy and BRS.

If anatomy never changes, then why are you wasting your time with anatomy research?
