Has anyone received any information on their dorm status?? Does anyone know when we find out this information?? Thanks!

Yea, it leaves you very little time to find an apartment if you don't get it. That's usually how people end up in Bleu Azure.

I found out less than a couple weeks before the semester started. I heard that some people didn't know if they got a place until a few days before they came here. Not much time to plan ahead really. I guess the only real way to be sure is to rent a place and not have to guess whether or not you'll get a spot in the dorms.

I received an email from MEAS that contained a housing agreement form and dorm rules. I read over it, signed it, and sent my $1650 housing deposit just now. I talked to my advisor a couple of weeks ago, and she told me to send the documents ASAP if your want a very good chance of getting a dorm, because the September class is so big.

Agreed. The May class has half the enrollment and a decent percentage (~10%) of us didn't get a place in the dorms. The September class is twice as large, so I imagine the issue will be compounded.

Don't send stuff to the school directly. It is expensive and you might not get the mail for a while. Use the Mailbox when you get here. It has a Miami address and they come to school twice a week.
