Thread: Vending Machine Woes

I love how, in my almost 2 semesters here, I have never been able to buy anything out of the coke machine. I always check to see if it has anything in stock, and after it says yes, (pressing the button) i put in the money, only to find out, it actually has nothing in stock, nor will it give you your money back. I suspect it is just another scam the school runs. I LOVE AUC.

I just can't feel bad for you. Anyone who still uses that wretched machine deserves to lose their money. You've been here two semesters and you still haven't figured it out yet?

and what exactly has SGA done about this? We can't even get the cafeteria to stay open monday through friday til 3pm, as their schedule says its supposed to. From what I can see, its pretty impotent.

The SGA has brought it up, but can't really do anything about it. The vending machine is owned and serviced by a local company, which explains the current state of the thing. The school doesn't want to take over responsibility for purchasing and stocking a vending machine, and obviously the local company is less than reliable. Best idea is just not use it. Unfortunately, this is one of those things that probably just isn't going to change.

I used to complain about similar things as you for my first couple semesters, I regularly got my blood pressure way up over it, and wound up nearly getting myself in a lot of trouble a couple of times. Eventually, I came to realize that no matter how much some things sucked, things just are the way they are sometimes. Nothing is going to change, at least not quickly, so its not worth getting bothered over. I just try and laugh at it now.

Go to the business office and ask for your dollar back. I used to do that all the time.
