Sucks for me, cuz I moved to Jamaica to be close to MIH... I have cores scheduled at Caritas till July so I doubt I'll make it. Hopefully I can at least finish my current rotation.

I got the email today and freaked out that we were going to be booted, at least it is not like Ross suddenly did something to kick us out of Caritas again.

How big a loss is this? Did they have a green peds core and how many students per rotation in peds? Wondering how this loss might affect incoming classes.

I would imagine that this could be remedied with a little cash infusion from AUC.

I'm sure this specific situation will not affect you, though there may be a different problem.
This is the Caribbean, expect some hurdles.

I met with with J.R. with Caritas about the email from AUC, and I figured it was AUC covering themselves (which is obviously understood); however, this is most likely a manner by which the hospital could recieve more funding to avoid shutting down. Unfortnately, the majority of patients who are at MIH are usually on medicaid, and I can see why the hospital is undercompensated by the government, since most do not have private insurances.
