OK I'm just going to make this quick, I'm probably just blind or overly tired. I'll give the list a quick look over another time tomorrow but.... I'm not seeing AUC listed on the medical board of California approved schools.

Don't get me wrong, I know that AUC is Cali accepted, but where is it on the official list. Seriously I'm sure that I'm just blind, but shouldn't it be listed under the Netherlands Antilles. But it's just Saba listed under Netherlands Antilles.

Again, I realize AUC has been around forever and it is Cali recognized, but what country is it listed under?

I got a call today, I've been unconditionally accepted for January 2009 to my delight. Maybe if I can't even find AUC on a simple list, the admissions council should think twice about their decision, lol.

I only have 12 posts on this site so far so I guess I can't attach a link to the medical boards website. But just google 'medical board of california' and on their site under the 'applicants' menu select 'medical schools' and then select 'medical schools recognized by the medical board of california'.

Maybe when I get back from work tomorrow, I'll take a closer look at the list and answer my own question. If someone wants to beat me to it, please do, I'll gladly look like a moron than have to sift through the whole list. Cheers.

OK Wow! How about under Sint Maarten. Yes I'm quite fatigued or perhaps the aforementioned 'blind' excuse, so ummm ya....forget it...I got it now. I spent a little to much time browsing Kaplan torrents tonight, lol.

Congrats on your acceptance, and finally finding the school under where I'd probably first expect to find it listed

Don't waste your time searching for Kaplan torrents, for two reasons. First, you shouldn't be studying anything before you start here. Second, I'm not saying that I have copies of Kaplan (and most other programs) that I'd be willing to give you, but most of the students do.

kaplan is only of use after you have completed the course in question. even then, im not sure how good they are. there are better things you can be doing with your time

Take my advice... don't do anything before you arrive more intellectual than watching Dumb & Dumber... you'll miss the freedom to waste time once you get here. The most enjoyable part of medschool happens between acceptance and arriving on the island...

hanging in there. i just came off of 2 ward months and a month in the ED. i now have clinic this whole month which is great. no call and 8:30-4:30. cant ask for anything else........ but im going to step in it next month when i go off to micu . how is it going up in georgia?

had micu in aug....after only 2 weeks of wards ...double .
now on endocrine for a month, with a week of vacation, yay!! no call for the moment, but front loaded so this is the only month without call til feb, ugh!
