I remember the countless Q-Bank tests that froze up almost every time I studied for Step 1, being signed on/off AIM over and over again, not to mention always seeing someone huddled in the closet found in the rotunda. Where did the Dean of internet and computers move onto? Ross? SGU? Statia? SMU? AUA? St. Theresa's?

I won't. The internet is already running better without him.

I think that what they really need to do is bring in an IT consulting firm from the US, show them what they've currently got set up, and let the IT firm tell them what they need to do to make things right. But, at least the new person will hopefully be a good start.

You'll know that they've actually got something good going on when the entire school is on one network, and not a different network in every room. I've never seen a school or commercial network where you didn't seamlessly go from one router to the next. They've set the school up like a big house. Already though, the internet and intranet seem a little more snappy.

that would be a fantastic idea. And, if Angel works anything like Blackboard (which I suspect it does), it would be a very easy transition. Once people knew how to do it, it would be a lot easier than going through notes service and then the computer lab to get stuff on the N-drive.
