on a similar note to IT... are we allowed to use the projectors in the lecture halls on off hours? Specifically, is there a place on campus where we can use VGA/DVI connection between our laptops and some sort of large screen - both for academic study groups and for the occasional leisurely movie?

They also told my class not to download any torrents from 2-midnight (basically, just download while people were asleep). I told C, in front of the [now defunct] dean of computers, that I would be glad to only download after midnight...when they were able to provide reasonable download speeds. But, as long as they felt it necessary to throttle, I'd be downloading all day, every day, with encryption turned on, so there was nothing they could do about it.

"They" is the movie guy (part of SGA) and he chooses the movies. They take suggestions though. The movie guy just moved onto clinicals though and I'm not sure who, if anyone, has taken his place.
