What semester are you? There are only two sites (CA and MI) where you can do all of your 3rd year rotations in the same place. You can also do all of your rotations in NY, but just not all at the same hospital. There are rumors that we may get more hospitals with all the cores, but that remains to be seen. For 4th year, you'll probably move around as you check out different hospitals that you might want to do residency at.

Exactly, you will want to do your electives at hospitals where you will be applying for residency to try to get an extra "in" to get an interview for residency. I believe you have to do all but 12 weeks at AUC affiliated hospitals to get a New York license. Of course, contacting MEAS is always the best choice in getting the correct information.

To my knowledge Mt Siani is not an AUC site and I also believe they do not have all rotations.

If you fail at AUC, SGU, or Ross why not transfer to SMU, if you fail at SMU, why not try another SMU.

We do not have Core in the southeast...you can contact MEAS and ask if people have done electives in the city you are looking at.

I know thst why I was asking about electives. I was speaking to the adcom from ross and he told me that they do have some electives in ATL and in MIA. I was also thinking more along the lines of the mid west as well. just asking!!!

I have heard there are sites in Birmingham, AL. Don't know if those are still open though.

Last I talked to auc (3 months ago) about Mt. Siani and St. Anthony's they were both core sites for us. last info I was given was peds, ob, FM, and Psych are all cores available between both hosp. some rotations at one place some rotations at another. you would need to pic up surgery, IM, Neuro elsewhere.

On the official AUC website there is a list of affiliated hospitals. I would think that it should be accurate and up to date.
