Continental Power

Anyone familiar with taking Continental to the island know if they use AC power or Empower on their planes? I can't seem to get a definitive answer from customer service or their website. Trying to check Airline Seating Charts, Best Airplane Seats - SeatGuru as well but they don't have concrete details for the older/smaller planes...
I'm going on a 737-700 and 757-300 on the way down there. I know this isn't a major concern but i want to know if the apple magsafe airline adapter is a total waste of money for me...

I've got the airline adaptor and I've used it quite a few times. Not sure about Continental, unfortuntely, but I do know that Delta and USAir do not have power outlets in their seats. American Airlines is the only airline so far I've found that does (which services st. maarten), but I won't fly with them anymore. I wish the other two airlines would get with the times...

You will be staring at a computer screen for 4 months straight. Trust me, a computer screen is the last thing you will want to see on an airplane. I don't know anything about the power on planes....sorry.

Slevit, why don't you fly American? I fly almost every week, and they are the only one I still will deal with.

Well, other than their recent plane grounding incidents, but that's beside the point...

I don't plan on doing spreadsheet work or word processing...I simply want to watch a movie or two on my laptop, is that crazy?. Plan A is to sleep, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for your input.

I don't fly American because their flights to St. Maarten connect through either Miami or San Juan and I can't stand either one.

in order to "get with the times" that would involve spending money, which in case you haven't noticed the current state of affairs in the airline industry is probably not very likely at this point

using the seatguru site....they aren't showing empower on those planes. i have the airline adapter....its nice but i wouldnt classify it as an essential. i using my frequent flier milers to upgrade to first class to SFO is an essential however

i would think you'd be able to get one movie out of the laptop assuming its fully charged. i had a defective battery for a while that wouldnt last for 20 minutes, so hopefully yours is in good shape.
