Rrod, I started with the head and neck already.. but darn. Those nerves and arteries in the head are driving me crazy.
Our semester had a few people who had graduate level biochemistry and thought that medical biochem would be a cake walk...most of them did not honor and some barely passed. Same holds true for those people who have had grad level Physio, Micro, etc. The point is, medical school is not like undergrad or grad school. I had a ton of professional experience coming here, but didn't expect anything to be easy because of it. Don't try to anticpate what you'll learn, but just keep up with the material that's given to you. Half the battle here is time management...your 1st semester will teach you that.

Aloha,

Anyone have an opinion?

Even I received the email today with the list. It also has a form to order the books. Does anyone know where the books are gonna be shipped if we order the books using this form?

Cheers...
ML
If you are ordering through Note Services, then they will be shipped to campus and distributed by Note Services. If you make other arrangements or buy them yourself through whatever vendor, then you can ship them home and bring them with you in your luggage (heavy), or have them shipped to school (expensive!).

Aloha,

Rohen & Yokochi's Photographic Atlas of Human Anatomy is the only one I'd recommend of the list...otherwise, get a hold of BRS (Board Review Series) subject specific books....they really helped with biochem, embryo, and anatomy, and are proving useful for Histo and physio!

I just want to clarify onething that they might be sending the email for September students very soon. I'm doing this as my PM box has been flooded ever since I wrote this post. I don't mind sending the email, but september students, please be patient.

Cheers...

Hey rrod,

How in the hell did you manage to finish all these semesters by spending a mere amount of 15 dollars. I just ordered used books that are required for first semester and the total came out to be 130 dollars. I thought that was pretty cheap for medical school books, but you beat me all ends up.

Cheers....

By the way, here is the list (if these books are incorrect, then don't hold me responsible as I'm just posting what the AUC registrar has sent:

Awesome!

thanks for the booklist! That looks like a lot of reading

I've been wondering about the anatomy test though.. I'm losing track of all these damn nerves, especially the plethora that seem to be associated with the Vth CN. Will they ever ask such questions like, "What muscles lie under and/or follow X branch of Y nerve?"

I think we will be provided with the info on muscles, but we need to know nerves for sure. You said C-5 is the most complicated for you, but for me that f**king vagus nerve (X) is the most complicated one.
