Did anyone else notice the Internal Medicine/Cardiology spot at University of Kansas School of Medicine, KY someone matched into?

Can anyone tell me what the IM/cardio is? I thought that cardio was a fellowship you secure after doing IM. So is this a new combo program?

You know it's very hard to say. We could look it up, but the website says that the program is University of Kansas School of Medicine, KY.

Now, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say U of Kansas School of Medicine is not in Kentucky. Since there is a U of Kansas and a U of Kentucky listed on Freida, it's hard to say which program this person might have matched into. If they did get U of Kansas we still don't know if they match in Wichita or Kansas City...

Does anyone know exactly where this person might have matched??

if you search google, you can find a hypothetical article about a cardiology fast track program. i have not found any official up and running programs yet.

If you fail at AUC, SGU, or Ross why not transfer to SMU, if you fail at SMU, why not try another SMU.

I think you're right. I remember a few programs where you do 2 years of IM, 1-2 years of research and then straight into cardio....or something like that.
