Neurology Florida not on the list
Hey docs, contacted the school to let them know that I was not on the list. I had sent in my match results as soon as I found out, but it did not go through.
Should be added soon....I hope. Congrats to all who graduated on Saturday. It was a very nice ceremony and I had a wonderful time seeing everybody. Now, 2.5 months of vacation... aaahhhh... |

i contacted the school. they did purchase the list from nrmp. however, some of the programs were heavily abreviated on the list, so the alumni dept is tracking down those grads and/or cross checking it with the returned forms to get the full name and location of the programs. so the list that is up on the website is only the initial list. it will be updated with the rest of the matches.
they also will be putting back up links to the previous years match lists as well.

Congratulations
You had someone match into Emergency Medicine at New York Presby Cornell/Columbia. That is extremely impressive!! That program has only taken one FMG ever and that was in the program's first year. I knew that FMG personally (from St. Georges) and he told me that his program director was determined to only take US grads and that FMG's were shunned upon very heavily. The person from your school that matched there must have done something very spectacular or had a major connection. Congrats!!!!!

nice, i see that they updated the list with more matches. although, it is still incomplete so they will probably update it more within the next few days. that university of arizona IM match is still missing (vmd user: rednah...please contact the school) and a few extra surgery categorical are missing off the top of my head (as per aucmd).

with the match list evolving, we have new statistics (although these will probably need updating in the next few days as well).
after counting those who graduated in 2008 (from the commencement program), i calculated a provisional match rate for auc. total grads in the 2008 academic year: 231 total residencies obtained: 182 + 3 (known matches by me not reported) = 185 auc provisional match rate: 80.01% disclaimer: this is not accurate because although we have an exact number of those graduated, the auc official match list is still incomplete. we will not know for sure how many actually did match until the list is completely updated.
