i just noticed AUC webpage edit the Int Med/Cardio match....I guess it was someone reporting their future plans in addition to their match. It has been relisted in the Internal Medicine.

I also noticed another Pathology match get listed, unless I am not remebering correctly.

If you fail at AUC, SGU, or Ross why not transfer to SMU, if you fail at SMU, why not try another SMU.

thanks for the heads up skipper.

with the match list evolving, we have new statistics (although these will probably need continual updating).

after counting those who graduated in 2008 (from the commencement program), i calculated a provisional match rate for auc.

total grads in the 2008 academic year: 231
total residencies obtained: 189

auc provisional match rate: 81.82%

disclaimer: this is not accurate because although we have an exact number of those graduated, the auc official match list is still incomplete. we will not know for sure how many actually did match until the list is completely updated.

Yes, Canadians have matched in the past and will in the future. What %, who knows....

And I'm very glad someone corrected that Int/Cards nonsense. The person who reported that should have known better (and I don't mean the person at AUC who received the information).

There are several canadians in my program and I think one or two are from AUC. Also, a friend of mine from AUC, a canadian matched in michigan.

The canadians that rotated with me from SGU also all matched in various programs in NYC.

However, I think most of the these people need to do step 3 for their visas, but I am not quite sure.

Hope this helps.

looks like match list was updated again, total matches 197, which makes for a
provisional AUC match rate of 85.28%

i dont know, they may have scrambled or prematched and never reported it to AUC

AUC has what people reported and what the NRMP Match provides, which is only the results of people have matched.

There are a few people I know who just did not get there stuff in time for this years match and will be entering next years match.

I know quite a few people who did not match this year. Not sure what they will do while waiting for next years match.
