they will be extra bitter and resentful if you make them do something about and beyond, like ask for some extra ketchup at mcdonalds

I used to have First Citizen's bank, they couldn't help. That's why I switched to Bank of America.

I am actually very surprised that a bank in Miami hasn't teamed up with AUC and offered some kind of fee-free ATM scheme for students on St. Martin. That would be a very smart business move, in my opinion.

This may be a stupid question:

Some of you have said that Bank of America accounts will give you free ATM withdrawals at Scotia Bank on the island.

If I was to set up a free checking account online through Bank of America's website, would this qualify? Or do I need to open it up at a physical bank?

I would just email them and ask, but it is late and I think I would get a faster answer on here...

It's the same no matter how you sign up for an account. Bank of American is part of some global ATM alliance, which Scotiabank is also a part of. So, any ATM within that group is free.
