Shipping

I need to ship items that need to be refrigerated from the states to saint maarten and was wondering if anyone knew the best way to go about this. Anyone ever use UPS overnight shipping? Is that reliable? Any info appreciated.

Thanks

UPS and FedEx overnight service are both reliable.

UPS, fedex and dhl as well....you might want to ask them specifically about shipping something that requires refrigeration.

Good luck with this. I hope your shipment turns out better than the milk my wife bought at the store the other day. I'm guessing shipped refrigerated and still had 4 days til due date and when we opened it, you can guess the rest...or check out my blog down below.

P.S. Yes, I know, shameless plug.

You buy fresh milk? The packaged stuff that you can keep in your pantry is money. Always ready when I need it.

the problem is likely the milk sitting for too long in the heat waiting for the workers to unload it. after one too many similar experiences such as this one, i switched to parmalat after a month here =)

I must admit that my wife pretty much dictates the milk situation. I am from a military family and am used to having shelf milk or powdered milk in situations where money was tight or milk hadn't been delivered to whatever remote area we lived in. However, since my wife pretty much does everything from shopping, paying bills, and even makes me lunch and dinner the final decision rests with her. Although, I am trying to push her towards trying shelf milk once or twice if only to cook with. We'll see how that goes.

How does the packaged stuff work? you mix it with water like Tang (remember that?) or what? Sounds nasty but I guess I can't judge yet.
