I was able to run skype with reasonable ease using the school's internet (I did not have internet at my house). In the end; however, I found the callback number with my chippie phone more convenient than skype.

If your in the dorms youll have to get NetStar. (sign up during registration at their table or look for a flyer on campus with details) They really don't care about speed too much, its pretty hit or miss. During the day the connection is pretty norm-to-slow while at night it seems to speed up a bit.
When you move out get Caribserve which is about 512Kbs/sec PEAK with about 128-256K/sec is the average and also depends on the time of day. Caribserve is touted as great by most people.
