510 points Yes. You will need to set up a mail account at The Mailbox which gives you an Miami, FL PO Box address. Contact your local voting office and have them mail your absentee ballot (well in advance) to your Miami, FL address. Fill it out and mail it back and you'll be good to go!
You can also get magz subscriptions sent to your Mailbox account. It gets somewhat expensive if you sign up for several magazines because you do have to pay to pick up your mail according to how much it weighs. On the other hand when you need a fashion and style magazine fix you'll be willing to pay whatever. Oh, BTW Food Express in Maho normally has a good selection of magazines.
best way to ensure being able to vote, absentee wise is to go to your town/city hall before you leave for the island. this will allow you to vote in the primaries. you can probably even fill it out right on the spot. as far as voting in the general election, you can get that absentee ballot when you come home between semesters, either after april semester is finished or after august semester is finished.
you can buy all sorts of US magazines at stores........just expect to pay way more than what you're used to

Magazines are around 8 - 15 dollars EACH at food express. It would be cheaper to get a mailbox account and subscribe the magazine with the US PO Box number.
