They will only shoot themselves in the foot by getting the "Diploma Mill" name put on them. If they increase too big, students won't be able to get licensed and that leads to bad press for the school and from the AMA. Then they would be out A LOT of money because people wouldn't come to the caribbean.

Of course they could be going the money route (AUC Never!) and racking up on money by admiting everyone, and weeding out those who can't cut it. Keeping their money and letting the students who actually pass into clinicals.

Yeah im sure its the second one...

The new construction is ICM rooms, Lecture hall one only seats about 300 people. Maybe we aren't becoming a "diploma mill" but the old "rumor mill" is still running quite effeciently. They are increasing the class sizes slightly but its not a drastic increase. More like an extra 15-20 people next semester.

its the other way around, sgu has been planning for an increase in enrollment for quite some time, the HHC contract allows for clinical coverage of said increase...

the enrollment in GND is targeted for 450 (heard Chancellor M say so in 2005) and with the projected 150 enrollment(though this I did not hear from the Chancellor) for the GSP program, the numbers would add up to 600, but they won't be together until 2nd year (and of course by then the numbers would probably be closer to 500 what with decels and so forth).

I highly doubt there will be a drastic size increase any time soon after today's meeting on clinical sites.

What did they say at the clinical meeting? at the one last semester they said they would have enough room to put us all somewhere after we take the step, they've been pushing the hell out of England though. Not that I have anything against England, I heard the experience is great, but with the sub-prime fallout affecting the exchange rate I'm not sure if I can afford it! Tuition credits for going abroad would be nice if they want us to go so bad! MEAS I know your reading this!
